Abstract

This paper describes frameworks for integrating messages from multiple ITS and non-ITS systems from a point of view of human interface and human information processing. The message management system may have functions to control the prioritization of information item, the allocation of information item to different type of display, the style for presenting information item and the timing of presenting message. These functions must interact each other to present messages in the integrated manner according to the driver's capacity of information processing and the driver's reaction time to the message. (A*)
