This issue of Current Topics includes over 60 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the development and testing of driver interfaces with intelligent transport systems. The emphasis is on in-vehicle interfaces but some papers on external interfaces have been included. Interfaces with route guidance, collision avoidance, driver information, advanced cruise control, and multi-purpose systems are included. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2004 and 2008. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD)database.
