Abstract

Japanese car manufacturers are tending to simplify designs, create sportier and more luxurious models, automate production, and develop electronically-controlled automatic transmissions, fuel injection systems and anti-skid brakes. Safety aspects include energy-absorbing steering column, multiple functions of the control on the steering column enabling drivers to operate all controls without taking his hands off the wheel or his eyes off the road. Increased tyre size contributes to highspeed stability.
