Abstract

Aged people do not form a homogeneous group. They are all different from each other. It is only possible for a doctor to advise his patients to stop driving and to try to convince them. He cannot forbid them. It is very hard to stop driving because it means missing social contacts. Old people, on average, drive less, more by day than by night, and do not drive so far as younger drivers.
