Abstract

The cities of Barcelona, Bologna, Gothenburg, Cologne and South East London (Lewisham, Southwark and Greenwich) have presented a project named GALA (Global Access to Local Applications and services) within the IADS call for proposal. This project aims to connect a wide range of public services (such as administrative and related to healthcare, but also transport) and put them at everyone's disposal through many channels, thus saving citizens' and administration's time and money. The most important aspect of the integration is, for public transport purposes, the implementation of a smartcard as the access key to all city services.
