Abstract

On the urban network the accident rate of pedestrians is fourteen times more as on the other road network, but there the accident rate of children under six years old is 60%. In a distance of 100 meter from their home 70% of these children have a fatal accident. In particular dangerous are parked cars while they hinder the view. A speed limit of 25-30 km h is recommended. In a model the relationship between carriageway-width speed, children's speed and collision speed, is mentioned.
