A description is given of the rebuilding and enlarging operations on an interchange north of Rotterdam. The lowest level is depressed and forms part of the northern side of the Rotterdam bypass. The third level consists of two flyovers linking up the highway to The Hague with the Meuse tunnelway. The remaining levels are occupied by the mutual connections of the motorways, and by those with city streets. Construction activities are hindered by the traffic on the tunnel highway that cannot be diverted and by the presence of two bridges over a canal. The viaducts are being made of prestressed concrete and are partly pre-fabricated.
