Abstract

Each year some 6000 people are killed in road accidents in Great Britain and a further 80000 seriously injured. 40% of the dead and 29% of those seriously injured are pedestrians and pedal cyclists. This report investigates the extent of the injuries sustained and the need for hospital treatment.
