Abstract

An investigation of the cognitive process of knowing and guessing is presented. Chapters 1 and 2 can be used as a textbook for a course in Information Theory, chapters 4 and 6 for a course in Inductive Logic, and chapter 8 for a course in Pattern Recognition.
