Abstract
Drivers with the radio frequency system ARI have no control over the timing and amount of the traffic information they receive. Most of the information in present broadcasts is irrelevant to the individual driver, an may be burdensome. No fundamental technical modifications are needed to improve this situation. A concept, appropriate to traffic and information technology, for a future, international oriented traffic radio system is presented.
