Abstract

Higher prices for mobility have a negative economical impact on households. In this paper the effects of the proposed policies on the purchasing power of households and on the income distribution are discussed. The purchasing power is hardly affected by increases in the prices of public transport. The effects are the same for all income levels. Higher fuel prices, however, decrease the purchasing power of households significantly.
