Abstract
A study has been carried out into the components which make together the costs of traffic accidents. After an introduction the background, the aim of the study, the definition of the study is divided into the costs of traffic accidents and the relationship between preventive measures and the costs of traffic accidents. Part II discusses the grantification of the financial consequences of traffic accidents for a number of primary financiers paying attention to final financing. The financial costs in the Netherlands for traffic accidents in 1982 have been 2.5 milliard.
