Abstract
This working paper deals with the requirements to be laid down concerning the quality of the road foundation. In contrast to Dutch practice, German engineers work with structural starting points not only during the design of the road foundation, but also during its construction. At the Delft University of Technology research is being carried out into in situ measurements of bearing capacity of the road foundation. Structural (functional) requirements, to be worked with during construction as well, will be brought up for discussion in the final conclusion of this research. (A)
