Abstract

This paper describes the results of a study which investigates what quality of information is required for policy- and decision making in the transport sector. Several possible users of the regional forecasting model were interviewed. Three main user categories can be distinguished: national advisory boards, and ministerial and regional policy groups. Important aspects which are addressed in the interviews are: (1) the need for information, resulting from the scope of the organization; (2) knowledge of the information production process; and (3) the desired quality of the information, broken down into a series of criteria. Based on the interview results per user group several suggestions are made to improve the information supply.
