Abstract

More than 50% of deaths amongst young people aged between 1 and 24 years are due to accidents, other injuries or poisoning. Problems arising from the classification of deaths due to injury are discussed. Data collected by the police services of the Community are analysed. This gives information concerning the distribution of road deaths according to the category of road users and of the age of the victim.
