Abstract
A general overview of the photometry is given. After an introduction of photometry; the propagation of the light; the application of the photometric laws, the quality of light; the optical properties of the body; the surface and the environment; the photometric properties of the receptors; the eye as a photometric instrument; and photometric methods are discussed.
