Abstract

The Régie de l'Assurance Automobile du Québec has a specific responsibility for road accident prevention. A planning exercise for the period 1986-1988 was set with the objective of reducing road accidents by 25% of the 1985 total. Intermediate objectives included increasing seat belt usage, and campaigns against impaired driving. Fatalities declined as a result of these activities by 21.5%. The german title of this paper is `Planifizierung der Verkehrssicherheit in Quebec : Bilanz und Perspektiven'.
