Abstract

The F.I.F.S.P. has interested itself for some time in finding the most adequate means for protecting pedestrians, the weakest link in the circulation of traffic. At successive Congresses this theme has been dealt with and at the last one in Rome in 1961 it was agreec to pursue this study to find effective formulas for sateguarding road users, particularly by means of the study of the technical and educational problems and of making rules. In consequence of all this, a questionnaire was prepared and summarised in order that we may know the measures adopted in different countries and the results obtained with them.
