Abstract

Forty-nine subjects, including male and female drivers as well as non-drivers were tested for understanding of different types of left turns, thereby using colour slides and colour motion picture to present both steady and flashing left turn signal indications. After each signal presentation the subject responded by pressing one of the three answer buttons, and the reaction time of each response were recorded electrically. The results of the investigation are presented.
