Abstract
In the Federal Republic of Germany, systematic investigations have been carried out into the possibilities of traffic noise reduction through the use of drain asphalt wearing courses. A test program is being complemented by research and development activities. The aim of these activities is to optimize drain asphalt wearing courses with respect to noise reduction and service life. Partial results already available are presented and commented.
