Prevention covers two aspects: - an educational aspect: to make human beings aware of the important principle of natural rights which is the, respect of the person and possessions of another: - a practical aspect: objectively avoid, as far as is possible, the occurrence of accidents involving death, disability, suffering and privation of all kinds. The respect for the life of others must be increased on our roads. (1) Insurance companies show a great interest for road safety in the large sense; (2) insurance companies promote road safety with their means and in certain cases through specialised bodies; (3) the sub commission prevention and road safety of the European insurance committee puts the accent on the respect of the human being and on measures where the education aspect predominates.
