Abstract

Due to greater protection of occupants in frontal collisions owing to enforcement of restraint system usage, side impacts ascend to increased attention. One important conclusion of various tests in simulating accidents of this type is that the possibility of improving the protection of occupants is much smaller. The results of various lateral impact tests are given.
