Abstract

This issue of Current Topics includes 60 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles that focus on the use of intelligent transport systems for law enforcement in areas such as parking, speeding, traffic signal violations and toll collection. The legal implications of the introduction of intelligent transport technologies including accident responsibility, privacy, administration and the development of standards are also covered. These items have been selected from the material added to the TRL Library Database between 1999 and 2002. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
