Abstract

Requirements for a broadband communication system between a base station and a moving vehicle are given by the following specifications: a sufficient and stable field strength along the track of the vehicle is needed; regulations with respect to radiation; a low attenuation per unit length along the track and depending on the system sufficient bandwidth must be available. A leaky coaxial cable might meet these requirements.
