Learner drivers and the driving books they read.

Abstract

A questionnaire has been used to find out whether people who are learning to drive read books about driving. Older drivers were more likely to read books on driving and women were more likely to read such books than men. The readers had significantly more hours of driving instruction and practice than non-readers before taking the driving tests.
