Abstract

The principle aim of this survey is to analyse and classify the driver's actual requirement when designing a driving aide. The method used is unique in that these requirements are determined by an analysis of disfunctions. Thirty test case accidents are selected, all of which arose from insufficient information being given to the drivers concerned. This data was then used to work out the corresponding needs for assistance.
