Abstract

The experimental use of cadavers for the study of thoracial injuries caused by restraint systems is limited by the important differences which exist between one person and another. It is therefore inevitable to know the biomechanics of the thorax. For that purpose some morphological and biomechanical data are gathered and their correlations are studied.
