Abstract

The principles and the method of operation of an electro hydraulic adaptive braking system are discussed and a description is given of such an installation, in a Renault TS16 car. The installation comprises a hydraulic system, a double braking circuit and an anti-blocking system independently controlling both axles and electronically sensing wheel speed, so as to maintain the adhesion to the road near its maximum value.
