Abstract

One of the major objectives of improved management of the road transport system is that of reducing the frequency and the seriousness of the accidents that it generates. The collection, the analysis and the interpretation of reliably homogeneous and representative data on key parameters that describe and explain the systems functioning are essential. This article describes the IDBRA survey concerning current practices in 13 countries.
