Abstract

When one deals with a city that undergoes such a drastic development as Caracas, capital of Venezuela, one has to refer to the bad working order of the public transpott. The setting up of a new transport system that could answer different needs of the city as well as restructure the concerned districts would but improve the living conditions of the users and the inhabitants. The installation of a tramway line, in a strategic area, is an alternative that could help reach those goals. (A) The English title of the paper is: "Caracas urban transport : revaluation of the city thanks to the insertion of a public transport in a suitable site".
