Abstract

The report updates Issue 10 of ‘Levels of accident risk in Greater London’, which was published in December 2004 by Transport for London. The report provides collision data that can be used for evaluating the collision record of an existing situation or for estimating that of a hypothetical one. Percentage levels of various types of collision at different locations are given for all roads in each borough and for all highway authorities in Greater London. Collision rates per site per year are provided for zebra and pelican crossings, signal controlled junctions, roundabouts, mini-roundabouts and all roundabouts in each borough. Several tables express various collision rates per kilometre of road, and other data from a number of sources relevant to road safety work in Greater London is also included. (Author/publisher)
