Abstract

We only recognize obstacles by distinguishing lights and colours. In this article the origin of light and colour distinction is described. Descriptions are given of how recognizing contrasts depends on traffic situations. The desired light density levels are presented. The problem of disability and discomfort glare is pointed out.
