Abstract
The "woonerf" is conceived in order to enhance the amenity in residential districts. It is put into effect by a series of legal measures, road construction and traffic management measures, planning measures and social measures. The quality requirements for the public lighting include apart of amenity, aspects of road and public safety. Suggestions for photometric requirements are given.
