Abstract

The theory and method of on-line feedback control of signal offsets for computerized area control of traffic are presented. Offsets are always gradually shifted so that delay is reduced and it is no more necessary to switch offset pattern from one to another discontinuously which is inevitable in conventional offset pattern selection control.
