Abstract

A feasibility study was conducted to link the police reported traffic collision reports with both trauma data and vehicle registration data. For the purposes of this study, the data was limited to that from the Province of Ontario. The study examines the benefits of being able to do such linking and the limitations of the data sources that affected the number of successful matches. The study also investigates some of the barriers of obtaining and linking the data on a regular basis such as ownership, security and confidentiality. (A)
