Abstract

A review of the literature dealing with pedestrian safety as to statistical analyses of accident victims and theories covering human factors in the causes of accidents on the one hand and various methods of accident prevention from the points of view of safety education, law enforcement and traffic engineering on the other hand. The reviewed articles were published between 1941 and 1968 and are mainly from periodicals and technical journals.
