Abstract

Total traffic accidents which occurred in Western Australia during 1975 were classified according to whether the accident occurred in Perth or the rest of state area and where the drivers involved resided. The number of kilometers each driver was from his residence at the time of his accident was also determined. It was found that most of the drivers (86%) had their accidents in their home region, relatively close to their residence.
