Abstract
Some exsisting incident detection algorithms have been compared. The incident detection algorithm with the best results is a rather simple algorithm. The specifications describe a queue warning system, that on the basis of automatic incident detection switches a queue warning sign or sends a queue warning message to an external device like a traffic controller.
