Abstract

This report deals with long range urban transportation planning. Attention is paid to long-range planning in relation to decision-making. An attempt is made to redefine the roles of long-range planning. The roles which this sort of planning can fulfil are mentioned. Further technical challenges are described. Finally, a description is given of long-range planning in relation to the future.
