Abstract

The longitudinal travel study has the form of a large- scale panel survey whereby twice a year approximately 2000 households are asked to reply to questions about travel behaviour. This paper aims to set out the objectives of the panel survey in order to enable an assessment to be made of the extent to which the aims have been realised.
