Abstract

Low-cost desktop personal computers and bus-compatible expansion cards have sufficient capability for the implementation of part task driving simulators. A simulation that provides a roadway scene display, sound effects, and automated orientation and training featuresis described. A simulator application for long-haul truck driver fatigue is also summarized.
