Abstract

Two night-vision devices can be effectively used for police surveillance. One is a low-light-level TV camera that produces a daylight picture at night-time illumination levels; the other is a direct-view device similar to a small telescope or pair of binoculars. The LLL TV camera and the DVD are discussed. Both devices operate on the same light-amplification, principles.
