Lower limb injuries in motorcycle accidents.

Abstract

Results from this study confirm that injuries from motor-cycle accidents are a major cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly involving young men. Furthermore, the lower links were the regions most commonly sustaining injury, which was often severe. The knee was particularly prone to minor and moderate injury, impact with the road being the major cause.
