Abstract

Measures taken to enhance traffic safety, such as obligatory use of crash helmets and safety belts, combined with speed restriction has led to a reduction of the number of hospital admissions for cranial fractures and intercranial injuries. There has been, however, an increase of the frenquencies of other fractures and of internal injuries.
