Abstract

The paper describes the development and testing of a method of driving wooden posts for guardrail support. Even though wooden posts are generally more economical and perform better than steel posts, they are often not used because of the time required for installation. The author describes a method of driving wooden posts which would make their installation time and cost competitive with that for steel posts.
