Abstract

Described are the procedures adopted for the MADRAS bus study and the institutional issues in seeking to improve operational efficiency. The project includes setting up procedures for the analysis of the waybill data produced for each service by conductors, coupled with limited interview data. While conventional in its basic objectives, the study has developed relatively low- cost procedures which can become part of the Pallavan Transport Corporation's standard practice.
