Abstract

A summary of the main findings and conclusions of the first theme of the workshop on minor rural roads is presented. One of the main conclusions is the importance regional and local authorities should give to the minor rural road stock whichdominates the other types of roads- in term of length- up to 2 to 3 times an average in developed nations and for 90% in developing countries.
