Abstract

A track guided busway has been designed and constructed in Adelaide to provide a rapid transit link between the city centre and a major outer suburban area. The busway provides an exclusive, high speed track for 12 radial bus routes. This hybrid technology offers significant advantages for passengers by combining the route flexibility and vide suburban coverage of bus services with the comfort, safety, speed and uninterrupted movement of tracked systems.
