Radical changes hang over public transport. A complete new administrative structure is proposed. Thorough preparation and training are required to prepare for this. Management simulations can help, because these can forecast the consequences of proposed modifications in the organization. Management simulation is also a good learning method for training management to act responsibly. This article describes some new situations in the organization to which management simulation can attribute positively. Some positive effects of the application of management simulation at the Rotterdam Electric Tramway (RET) are shown.
Abstract
