Abstract

This paper describes how management inside DDOT/AVV uses architecture as a tool for better ITS products and better product development. A corporate architecture is under development. It will be a constituent of a comprehensive adaptation of the DDOT organisation to accommodate the development, deployment, operation and maintenance of ITS for the national motorway network. This architecture will generate 5 views on traffic management, built up of components/subsystems arranged in recursive layers. It will be deVeloped concurrently with a Dutch national architecture and a European arcHitecture. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
